What we do

Empowering Lives North East

We seek to empower the Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic communities in Middlesbrough, Stockton-on-tees, Teesside and its surroundings as well as other parts of the UK in order to encourage community cohesion, promote equality, cultural diversity as well as social community inclusion.
We work with individuals and groups from the BAME and wider community to improve their mental health and well-being, enhance social, cultural and economic inclusion and support community cohesion.

Partnerships

Empowering Lives North East has been awarded funding to carry out various projects. The latest projects focuses on a BAME focus group group which specially works with women who have been adversely impacted due to the current situation of the pandemic. We help the women who are currently facing these challenges brought on by the pandemic to help them maintain a suitable mental health and well-being, provide them with the tools to know how to proactively tackle the situation and help them limit financial constraints that the current situation has placed on them.
